Arun Srinivasan (Lighting Designer) designs lighting for dance, theatre, music, and sp ecial events. He has designed for a number of dance artists and Companies, including Robert Desrosiers, Peter Chin, Claudia Moore, Canadian Children's Dance Theatre, and TILT Sound & Motion. Arun has been an assistant to lighting designers for galleries at the ROM, and was the Toronto associate designer for The Lion King. In the area of sp ecial events, he has executed the design for numerous award galas, as well as various fall launches for CTV. Arun started with Danny Grossman Dance Company in 1991 with Bad Weather , and has since executed designs for three tours with the Company, as well as several home seasons. He was nominated for a Dora Mavor Moore Award for Lighting Design in 2003, and has worked on shows across North America , as well as in Ukraine , Malaysia , and Singapore . Arun is a member of the Associated Designers of Canada, and when not working, he can be found on the monkey bars with his two-year-old son, Lil' D.
